Flushing Sluicing Flushing is done to remove sediment duringhigh flood. Sluicing is done to remove sediment during plant operation. Intake structure aren’t operationalduring flushing as water level cannot be maintained. Intake structures can remain operationalduring sluicing as water level can be maintained.
